This refreshing national drink gained popularity in diner-style restaurants during the 1950s. After losing its popularity, it regained prominence from 2010 onwards with the rise of tonic waters, gin tonics, and bitter profile drinks.

  • 75 ml of clear pisco
  • 150 ml of tonic water
  • lemon twist
  • ice

Preparation
  • Fill a glass or cup with ice cubes to its maximum capacity.
  • Stir the ice to chill the glass and discard any excess water that melts in the process.
  • Add all the ingredients and serve.
  • Garnish with a lemon slice.
  • Optional: add a cucumber slice, papaya slices, and basil leaves.
